Victor Froholdt

Position: CM; CDM, CAM
Club: FC Porto
Nation: Denmark
Market Value: £42.5m

After a breakout season for FC Porto, Victor Froholdt is now the must-sign CM wonderkid for anyone with a big budget. He's Overall and Potential has been sky-rocketing ever since the release of FC 26.

The monster: how Victor Froholdt redefines physicality
Scouting the off-ball animal we’ve been following for years

On FC 27, there's not much room to grow because he's already very good... at everything. While his 93 Stamina means he's good at lots of things from the first to the last minute. So when he reaches that 88 Potential, he's world-class at everything, everywhere, all the time.

  • Overall: 82
  • Potential: 88
  • Potential Growth: +6

Rudy Matondo

Age: 18
Position: CM; CDM
Club: Paris FC
Nation: France
Market Value: £8m

Rudy Matondo is a hustle and bustle two-way midfielder that drives, links, presses and challenges. His his relentless energy makes him a tenacious and powerful runner on and off the ball. And you could probably coach him to play any position on the pitch.

77 Stamina, 75 Strength and 75 Aggression will see him develop into your chief ball-winner. But he is more than capable with moving the needle himself when he wins it back with 80 Ball Control, 78 Short Pass and 77 Dribbling.

  • Overall: 74
  • Potential: 85
  • Potential Growth: +11

Rokas Pukstas

Age: 22
Position: CM; CDM, CAM
Club: Middlesbrough
Nation: USA
Market Value: £8.5m

Rokas Pukstas pings between the boxes, doing a bit of everything — which isn’t surprising when you consider his father and mother represented Lithuania as a marathon runner and triple jumper respectively.

He's not that quick on FC 27, but those inherited physical gifts are evidenced by 80 Jumping, 83 Stamina and 82 Balance. He's also got the potential to develop into a decent goal threat, with 74 Positioning and 74 Finishing catching the eye.

  • Overall: 74
  • Potential: 84
  • Potential Growth: +10

Quim Junyent

Age: 19
Position: CM; CDM, CAM
Club: UD Almería
Nation: Spain
Market Value: £825k

If you're looking for a small Spanish midfielder, Quim Junyent is the quintessential diminutive playmaker. He's just 1.71m tall and weighs 62kg. But that doesn't tell the full story about Barcelona academy graduate.

Yes, his 80 Agility, 75 Balance and 71 Dribbling help him wriggle away from pressure, but he's also got 81 Aggression. Junyent is a hive of activity when you watch him, able to quicken the tempo at any point - helped by his five-star weak foot - and consistently making an impact in the final third.

  • Overall: 66
  • Potential: 84
  • Potential Growth: +18

Carlos Maciá

Age: 18
Position: CM; CDM
Club: Villarreal CF
Nation: Spain
Market Value:

If you're looking for a tall Spanish midfielder, then Carlos Maciá is the pick.

Standing at 1.9m tall, Maciá is closer to the Rodri build. We've described him as a lighthouse pivot midfielder that connects, progresses and organises from the base. His big body an upright posture power bursts of powerful mobility, although he usually prefers to pass than carry.

  • Overall: 66
  • Potential: 85
  • Potential Growth: +19

Hugo Sochurek

Age: 18
Position: CM; CDM, CAM
Club: Sparta Praha
Nation: Czech Republic
Market Value: £2.5m

In May 2026, Hugo Sochurek became the youngest player in history to debut for the Czech Republic national team. He then made the 2026 FIFA World Cup but did not get a single minute on the pitch. A travesty.

So, you need to sign him in your FC 27 Career Mode to restore balance. Once he starts developing, you should have a midfielder that can win the ball back, powerfully drive and carry it forward, then score the odd goal.

  • Overall: 68
  • Potential: 83
  • Potential Growth: +15
