The best right-backs in FC 25 Career Mode are those with the highest overall rating. Here's a handy list, including their overall at the start of the game, and their highest possible potential rating (in brackets
- Trent Alexander-Arnold - 86 (88)

We saw the best, but as you can tell, very few of these players have much space to grow - with perhaps Araujo, Hakimi, Frimpong and Porro being the exceptions.

- Kyriani Sabbe - 70 (83)

There we have it. Let's get into the details, and explain why these are the best left-backs to sign in your Career Mode.

Rico Lewis
Position: RB
Club: Manchester City (ENG)
Nation: England
Market Value: €15.5 million
What can be said about Rico Lewis that hasn’t already been said? Less a right-back than a play-wherever-he-wants-back, Lewis is a modern defender in every sense of the word, capable of inverting into midfield and doing anything and everything with the ball. His in-game profile reflects that: he can comfortably play basically every position in the game.
At a market value of €15.5m, getting him out of Manchester City won’t be simple, but it will be worth it. An incredibly agile and balanced player with standout ball control and short passing, Lewis will lock down your right-back position – or any other position – until he reaches his overall potential of 85.
- Overall: 76
- Potential: 85
- Potential Growth: +9

Conor Bradley
Position: RB
Club: Liverpool (ENG)
Nation: Northern Ireland
Market Value: €12 million
Like Lewis, Conor Bradley will be very familiar to fans of the Premier League. After a successful loan with Bolton Wanderers in 2022/23, Bradley would surely be a starting Premier League right-back if not for Trent Alexander-Arnold. Use that to your advantage and try and grab him early.
Also like Lewis, Bradley is remarkably flexible and capable of fitting in anywhere, but play him at right-back for best results – where his speed, stamina and crossing will do most damage. Starting at 75 overall with 84 potential, Bradley would make an excellent addition to any squad.
- Overall: 75
- Potential: 84
- Potential Growth: +9

Andrea Cambiaso
Position: RB
Club: Juventus (ITA)
Nation: Italy
Market Value: €20 million
We hope you’re seeing a theme emerge. Juventus’ Andrea Cambiaso is a right-back on paper, but play him literally anywhere and he’ll perform – making him a perfect body to fill out any squad.
At 24, Cambiaso is further along in his development than most, but continues to grow in stature in Serie A. His overall is 77 right now and his potential is 84, meaning his market value of €20m represents both immediate impact and room for significant growth. He has a five star weak foot too, meaning he’s extremely comfortable playing on the left side of defence – or midfield, or attack. Do whatever you like. We're not your mother.
- Overall: 77
- Potential: 84
- Potential Growth: +7

Martim Fernandes
Position: RB
Club: FC Porto (POR)
Nation: Portugal
Market Value: €3.1 million
An option for more modest budgets, Martim Fernandes is breaking through at Porto at just 18. Happy to play on the left or the right, Fernandes’ has all the qualities you’d expect from a Portuguese full-back: he’s relatively quick and has strong close control.
An starting overall of just 69 makes him an under-the-radar pick, but put in the time and watch him bloom to his potential of 84 while offering cover at two positions. For a market price of just €3.1m, that’s some serious value.
- Overall: 69
- Potential: 84
- Potential Growth: +15

Kyriani Sabbe
Position: RB
Club: Club Brugge KV (BEL)
Nation: Belgium
Market Value: €3.6 million
A classic wing-back, Kyriani Sabbe is at Club Brugge in Belgium, a favourite hunting ground of scouting heavyweights like Brighton. Sabbe stands out for his tight close-control, particularly his balance of 85. But strong acceleration, sprint speed, agility and ball control make him an ideal fulcrum for those looking for a technical full-back.
Also capable of playing on the left without any drop-off, Sabbe offers depth to any squad as he grows towards his potential of 83. Touted as Belgium’s starting future right-back, pick Sabbe up for a steal: his market value is just €3.6m. Bargain.
- Overall: 70
- Potential: 83
- Potential Growth: +13

Pedro Lima
Position: RB
Club: Wolverhampton Wanderers (ENG)
Nation: Brazil
Market Value: €2.7 million
Rounding off our list is Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Pedro Lima. At 18, Lima is one of Wolves many young talented Brazilians, albeit one yet to make his Premier League bow. Take advantage of that – although he only joined Wolves this summer for a reported £10m, his market value in FC25 is just €2.7m.
For that price you get a lot of speed. His 86 acceleration and 84 sprint speed make him perfect for a full-back to bomb down the wings. His dribbling, agility and balance stats are not to be sniffed at either. Be patient – he starts the game at 68 overall, but his potential of 83 makes him well worth a small investment.
- Overall: 68
- Potential: 83
- Potential Growth: +15
