Who are the best Left-Backs (LBs) in FC 26 Career Mode?
The best left-backs in FC 26 Career Mode are those with the highest overall rating. Here's a handy list, including their overall at the start of the game, and their highest possible potential rating (in brackets):
- Nuno Mendes - 86 (89)
- Federico Dimarco - 85 (85)
- Theo Hernández - 84 (85)
- Alphonso Davies - 84 (87)
- Joško Gvardiol - 84 (87)
- Marc Cucurella - 84 (85)
- Balde - 83 (87)
- David Raum - 82 (83)
- Milos Kerkez - 82 (86)
- Maximilian Mittelstädt - 82 (82)
- Andrew Robertson - 82 (82)
- Antonee Robinson - 82 (82)
Beyond Nuno Mendes, the ratings for the top-tier left-backs are pretty low, making it a great position to buy young and develop. There are a host of young left-backs just waiting for you to scout and poach. Here's a list of our favourites, with detail.
The six best young Left-Backs (LBs) to sign and develop in FC 26 Career Mode
For easy reference, here's our list. Don't worry - we'll dive into detail momentarily. As before, their rating is included alongside their potential (in brackets) and there should be a pick for every Career Mode budget.
- Alvaro Carreras - 80 (88)
- Nathaniel Brown - 77 (85)
- Joaquin Seys - 73 (86)
- Adam Aznou - 66 (82)
- Honest Ahanor - 66 (81)
- Diego Leon - 64 (85)
Some of these players can grow by as much as 16 points and can be picked up for cheap - making them well worth the investment in time and cash. Let's dive in.
Alvaro Carreras
Position: LB, LM
Club: Real Madrid
Nation: Spain
Market Value: £49.5m
Alvaro Carreras slipped through the nets of both Manchester United and Real Madrid before his career exploded at Benfica: now he's back in Spain as a Galactico, and one of the most exciting left-back prospects in the world.
This is clearly the premium choice (Madrid are not going to let him escape again without some cajoling) but only Nuno Mendes can reach a higher rating than Carreras. He's 6 foot 1, has 86 Sprint Speed, 81 Aggression and 89 Stamina. What more could you want from a full-back?
- Overall: 80
- Potential: 88
- Potential Growth: +8
Nathaniel Brown
Position: LB, LM
Club: Eintracht Frankfurt
Nation: Germany
Market Value: £20.5m
Hugo Ekitike, Luka Jovic, Willian Pacho, Randal Kolo Muani, Omar Marmoush, Sebastian Haller, Omar Marmoush; this decade, Eintracht Frankfurt have established themselves as a club were talent is refined and sold for big money. With Hugo Larsson, Can Uzun and left-back Nathaniel Brown still honing their craft, expect the trend to only accelerate.
Brown's on a hefty contract to 2030, so don't expect Eintracht to let go easily - but his rapid acceleration, agility on the ball and ability to play either side make him a great buy for those with the budget.
- Overall: 77
- Potential: 85
- Potential Growth: +8
Joaquin Seys
Position: RB, LB, RM
Club: Club Brugge
Nation: Belgium
Market Value: £6.5m
Get yourself a full-back that can do both (flanks). Joaquin Seys is equally as comfortable at both left and right back and even wing-back on both sides. He's left-footed with a 4-star weak foot so we've included him in the left-back list - deal with it.
With a short-ish contract (2028) and low market value of £6.5m, Seys offers incredible value for money if you have the patience to grow him all the way to his potential of 86.
- Overall: 73
- Potential: 86
- Potential Growth: +13
Adam Aznou
Position: LB
Club: Everton
Nation: Morocco
Market Value: £750k
Adam Aznou is a SCOUTED favourite. His technical ability has always stood out at youth level, but this summer made the choice to leave Bayern Munich after finding the route to first-team football tough to navigate. Don't make the same mistake as the Bavarians.
In-game, despite his recent move to Everton, he's super cheap and his 76 Dribbling is his best technical attribute. Throw in 78 Acceleration and 81 Sprint Speed alongside the +16 potential growth and he should be fun to play and develop.
- Overall: 66
- Potential: 82
- Potential Growth: +16
Honest Ahanor
Position: LB, LM
Club: Bergamo Calcio (Atalanta)
Nation: Italy
Market Value: £1.7m
Just a handful of Serie A appearances with Genoa were enough to convince renowned squad-builders Atalanta of Honest Ahanor's talent, and they swooped this summer. Very raw at just 17, investing in Ahanor while he's still relatively unknown will pay dividends - honest.
Ahanor is very much a lockdown full-back with good stats for Pace, Defending and Physical attributes across the board - perfect for those who like their wide players to do a lot of work.
- Overall: 66
- Potential: 81
- Potential Growth: +15
Diego León
Position: LB, LM
Club: Manchester United
Nation: Paraguay
Market Value: £500k
Teenage sensation Diego León joined Manchester United just this summer from his native Paraguay. Given the club's record of letting talented full-backs slip through their fingers (see: Alvero Carreras) this is a great chance to compound their misery.
León not only has the potential to become one of the best left-backs in game, his +21 potential growth is the largest of any player in his position with at least 80 potential. If you're settling into your Career Mode for the long haul, there's no better option.
- Overall: 64
- Potential: 85
- Potential Growth: +21
