Like it or not, the transfers are coming. Behind the scenes, recruitment teams are working frantically: reports are being filed, shortlists compiled, plans put in place, even overtures and enquiries made. Hell, deals are getting done already!
This period is always busy, because it has to be. Preparing diligently will be the difference between a club having a good window and a bad window. Even then, those preparations can be blown up entirely by the unforeseeable and, often, they only come into effect in the final week of the window, when the posturing and brinkmanship makes way for serious negotiation.
But who are the players that will be high on the agenda in your club’s transfer meetings over the coming weeks? That’s where this week’s SCOUT NOTES comes in. It will be a run through of Europe’s Most Wanted, the teenage talents (players born in 2005 or later) that should be making big moves this summer.
