The most fascinating U-23 players from Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga

The 34-game Big Five League seasons have finished. FC Bayern regained the Bundesliga crown and Paris Saint-Germain retained the Ligue 1 title, all as expected.

On an individial level, Michael Olise became the first player to win the Bundesliga Player of the Season and Rookie of the Season, let alone the first to win both in the same campaign. Ousmane Dembélé was named Ligue 1 Player of the Season and Désiré Doué won the Young Player of the Season award.

The Bundesliga Team of the Season included four players born in 2001 or later: Michael Olise, Florian Wirtz, Jamal Musiala and Hugo Ekitiké. In Ligue 1, seven 01+ players made the cut: Lucas Chevalier, Willian Pacho, Nuno Mendes, João Neves, Rayan Cherki, Désiré Doué and Bradley Barcola.
