The most fascinating players from the 2025 MLS season

A SCOUTED Squad is assembled by exploring a league, country or continent in an attempt to discover the most fascinating prospects you might not yet be familiar with through data. It takes the form of a 22-man squad, stacked full of contrasting profiles and complementary Archetypes.

In this article, we are looking to find the most fascinating young players from the 2025 MLS season.

Goalkeepers

🤿
Dataset: 48 goalkeepers (GK) with 360+ minutes. Selection Pool: 5 players born in 2003 or later.

As always, the goalkeeper pool is limited so there’s not too much analysis to do here. The fact that 2004-born Chris Brady logged 2,465 minutes as an undisputed starter for Chicago Fire warrants an inclusion. Across all ages, he ranked 14th for % of Crosses Stopped and was a net positive for Goals Prevented.

The other goalkeeper with more than 900 minutes was also the youngest. 2006-born Philadelphia Union ‘keeper Andrew Rick is another to keep an eye on. You could highlight that he had the highest clean sheet percentage of any goalkeeper across all ages, but you also need to consider that he was part of the best defence in the league. Especially considering his save percentage was 63.4% and he conceded 1.1 more goals than expected based on the xGOT he faced.
