Pegasus among unicorns

Scoring a goal against Real Madrid is as good excuse as any to write about a player I’ve have wanted to write about for a long time: Álvaro Rodríguez, Pegasus among unicorns.

Unicorn has often been used to describe players with rare skillsets. Most of the time, it’s used as a synonym for "good feet for a big man".

However, given the ever-increasing size of players, it’s losing its meaning. The unicorn label should be saved for the near-unique blends of talent that defy reality rather than an increasingly common blend of attributes. But for those of you wedded to the idea of using a mythical horse to describe footballers, I have a solution for you.
