Of course, if you are looking for older players, we have you sorted too, with a collection of the ten highest overall right-backs at the start of your save. Want more? Have a look through the rest of our magazine for more young players to sign.

Who are the best Right-Backs (RBs) in FC 26 Career Mode?
The best right-backs in FC 26 Career Mode are those with the highest overall rating. Here's a handy list, including their overall at the start of the game, and their highest possible potential rating (in brackets
- Achraf Hakimi - 89 (90)

But this is SCOUTED, a magazine about youth football, so of course we don't want to talk about players already at their peaks - we want to shoot for the future.
To that end, here's our picks for the best right-backs to sign in your Career Mode save - the youngsters you can get for peanuts and develop into world-beaters.
The six best young Right-Backs (RBs) to sign and develop in FC 26 Career Mode
For easy reference, here's our list. Don't worry - we'll dive into detail momentarily. As before, their rating is included alongside their potential (in brackets) and there should be a player for every Career Mode budget:
- Omar El Hilali - 77 (83)
- Givairo Read - 75 (88)
- Marc Pubill - 73 (82)
- Michael Kayode - 73 (81)
- Josh Acheampong - 70 (85)
- Semm Renders - 62 (84)
There we have it. Let's get into the details, and explain why these are the best right-backs to sign in your Career Mode.
Omar El Hilali
Position: RB, CB, RM
Club: RCD Espanyol
Nation: Morocco
Market Value: £14.5m
Omar El Hilali emerged as one of the most prolific ball-winners across Europe's Big Five Leagues last season; Moisés Caicedo was the only under-23 player to make more tackles than the Moroccan. He's a good height for a full-back with sound mobility and sharp footwork, both when defending and when adjusting to play forward.
But what you're really here for is the 85 Acceleration and 85 Sprint Speed at the start of Career Mode. He won't let you down at the back post either with 86 Jumping. He doesn't improve massively, but he's a set and forget full-back that offers physicality, security and operates at a decent technical level.
- Overall: 77
- Potential: 83
- Potential Growth: +6
Givairo Read
Position: RB, RM
Club: Feyenoord
Nation: Netherlands
Market Value: £11.5m
Givairo Read was a standout for the Netherlands at this summer's U-19 EURO because of his electric speed. He moves like Jeremie Frimpong but his robustly built like Jurriën Timber.
As for EA FC 26, Achraf Hakimi is the only right-back on the entire game that has a higher potential rating than Read. Get him. We don't need to say much more.
- Overall: 75
- Potential: 88
- Potential Growth: +13
Marc Pubill
Position: RB, RM
Club: Atlético de Madrid
Nation: Spain
Market Value: £6m
If you like your full-backs tall, like Ben White, then the 6 foot 3 Marc Pubill should go straight in your Career Mode basket.
Atleti signed him from Spanish second division side Almería this summer after some impressive displays for Spain at the U-21 EURO. He loves to both underlap and overlap and enjoys raiding forward all the way into the opposition box.
His 81 Sprint Speed, 83 Jumping, 81 Stamina and 80 Strength combined with his size make him a proper specimen of a right-back.
- Overall: 73
- Potential: 82
- Potential Growth: +9
Michael Kayode
Position: RB, RM
Club: Brentford
Nation: Italy
Market Value: £6m
Kayode has been on the SCOUTED radar since early 2023 - since we watched him in Under-19 EURO qualifying for Italy, a journey we followed all the way to the Italian side winning that tournament in July. The best way to describe the now-Brentford right-back is a lock-down defender like Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with the offensive weapons to be a positive going forward.

You can see that in his FC 26 stats, too. Acceleration, Sprint Speed, Positioning, Dribbling, Interceptions, Marking, Stand Tackle, Slide Tackle and Jumping are all at least 71. If they all shoot up +8 like his rating then you'll have a solid right-back that is comfortable flying forward and tracking back. He also has a long throw.
- Overall: 73
- Potential: 81
- Potential Growth: +8
Josh Acheampong
Position: RB, CB, CDM, RM
Club: Chelsea
Nation: England
Market Value: £3.3m
Josh Acheampong should be the future of Chelsea and the England national team. When he does get minutes, you can't miss him. His giraffe-sized frame sees him loom over pretty much everyone on the pitch, literally head and shoulders above the rest. It's not difficult to see how his profile could scale up to the highest standard of senior football pretty easily.
With a potential rating of 85, he scales up to that level on FC 26 Career Mode. His Pace and Physical attributes will be a cheat code by the end of your save. Let's hope he develops in the same way in real life.
- Overall: 70
- Potential: 85
- Potential Growth: +15
Semm Renders
Position: RB, RM
Club: Royal Antwerp
Nation: Belgium
Market Value: £325k
Without wanting to list the likes of Tino Livramento and other open-goal Career Mode signings (if you have the money) or re-use players from last year's list (we've included that at the bottom of the page), we discovered Semm Renders had the potential to increase his rating by 22 points and reach 84 overall.
In real life, he's already been capped by Belgium at Under-21 level despite not turning 18 years old until December 2025. His 77 Acceleration and 73 Agility already suggests that by the end of your save you will have one of the most explosive, nippiest right-backs on the game.
- Overall: 62
- Potential: 84
- Potential Growth: +22
